Hello. I provide professional development in small workshops, large sessions, and online. Online PD is available either asynchronous, live interactive sessions, webinars, or a hybrid course. I'm flexible, and can design a course that meets your specifications. Check out some of the webinars I've done below.
Webinars

Tired? Frustrated? This session will share strategies that will cut all the busy work in half. Tips for grading? Yep. Tips for time management? Yep. Tips for Serotonin seekers? This session has it. Teachers have repeatedly been asked to do more with less, all while gathering data about it!

The philosophy behind a flexible classroom is not just about differentiation, but instead an attitude of "whatever it takes" for student success. This webinar will provide practical tips, and help you get ready for the new year.

Do you dare unplug? Do you dare say, “Take out a piece of paper and something to write with” and ask students to engage without technology? This webinar is designed to help educators do a “hard reset” on how we use technology.

Have you ever felt like those around you care not just about you, but for you as well? If so, you've experienced what it means to "be in community." In this webinar, you'll learn why creating this space for students is so crucial, how it impacts teaching and learning, and how to get started making your classroom a community who does life together.

Families come in all shapes, sizes, and configurations, and learning to communicate with them is the key to a smooth school/home dynamic. This webinar provides practical tools to help make those connections.

We know that grades are subjective. We know that they can be punitive, or they can help students attain scholarships and accolades. We know that feedback is superior to letter grades. As professionals who know our students best, isn't it time we approach grading as Flexible?
Classes
Below is a sampling of classes I've taught for 15 hour professional development. Usually, 8 hours are synchronous, and the remaining 7 hours are homework and discussion. I designed these courses when districts asked me to provide professional development on these topics. This is something that I am willing to do for your district and specific needs.

"Deciphering Danielson's Domains"
This class helps teachers, new and untenured specifically, prepare for their first observations. The course is divided into four classes, and it culminates with preparing for an observation. Teachers will be ready for the pre-conference, the observation, and the post-conference.

"Using Movies to Teach SEL Skills"
This class collaboratively decides on three movies to view, discuss, and create lessons and activities. The book is used as a model, and it provides the framework for integrating SEL.

"Show What You Know: Project Based Learning and Digital Portfolios"
This class will walk teachers through the legwork, pre-planning, and execution of a project based learning experience for their students. Digital Portfolios will be shared, and teachers will leave ready to implement.
